Last night President Trump accepted his party's nomination, concluding the four day GOP convention. Throughout the week the president, members of his family and administration, and prominent leaders of the GOP made their case for four more years to American voters. Adjusting to the impact of the pandemic, convention speakers delivered their remarks in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the White House and in pre-recorded videos from across the nation.  

In his acceptance speech, President Trump touted the work his administration has accomplished in his first term and pledged that in his second term he would, "lead America into new frontiers of ambition and discovery, and we will reach for new heights of national achievement." During his speech, which clocked in at just over one hour and 10 minutes, he touched on health care from the issues of the pandemic, medical billing, and the costs of prescription drugs.  

Earlier in the week, First Lady Melania Trump used her speech to acknowledge the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Americans. Speaking to Americans who had lost someone to the virus she said, "My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one and my prayers are with those who are ill or suffering."

The president also bucked tradition, choosing to speak all four nights of the convention rather than saving all of his remarks for the last night. On Monday night the president was shown speaking with health care workers who have been on the frontline of the pandemic.
