Pippy Rogers

Florence (Pippy) Rogers was a Public School educator for over three decades. She started as a classroom teacher and ended her career as a principal who worked in the LaGrange, Georgia City and Troup County Public School Systems. Her teaching experience extended from primary grades to middle school. She has earned Teacher of the Year honors at the school and district level. Before becoming an Assistant Principal she worked as a Staff Developer for the School System. Ms. Rogers retired from West Side Fine Arts Magnet School as Principal shortly after her mother died from Alzheimer’s. After retiring, she quickly turned her loss and anger of this horrific disease into action through advocating for the Alzheimer’s Association over 13 years ago.
Ms. Rogers served as the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter Board of Directors Chair from 2022-2024. She has been a member of the board since in 2018 and is currently serving as BOD Co-Chair. Her involvement has continued to grow into all areas of the Alzheimer’s Association including joining the Aim Leadership Society in 2018. Ms. Rogers is active in service and altruism in many communities as a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an International Honorary Organization for Women Educators. She has served in many leadership positions with her state and in International officer roles. In 2013, it was Ms. Rogers' determination to educate and spread awareness throughout the organization that spawned the Global Partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and The Longest Day. Alpha Delta Kappa continues to make an impact to End Alzheimer’s and other dementia in numerous ways.
